About Meeyamor

Written in first person by owner/creator. Updated Jan/2024:

Mee~ya~mor is a serendipitious spin on "My Love".

A very personal business name inspired by my daughters, Meela & Myah Moore. There names separate & together, as their personalities, are unique & one of a kind. And since my oldest NAMED my youngest, it makes it something super special.

Between 2018 and 2023 this umbrella company has morphed in various directions amongst traumatic life events and a pandemic.

(Can we all, literally, pat ourselves on the back, but also send love to those we lost please).

One consistency of Meeyamor is originality in artistic expression & advocacy from myself, the creator & owner Jess. (Hi! As I said, written in first person:)

When the new website presents, you will find examples of healing through Artistic expression in the forms of:

Meeyamor began as a physical art business as it's sole premise. Art healed me in a way that will be built into a course one day. I was guided by the universes lessons, which have brought me to:

Currently, I'm putting my effort into creating & producing a docuseries to make law makers aware and change the atrocious drunk driving laws/justice system that put our family through hell after a man killed my brother-in-law as he was walking home. His name, Spencer Alexander Moore.

Many advocates have taken on the task of changing the laws. Strides have been made, however, the public can be very unaware to the steps in our system(s) and the utter APATHY that can meet a victims family. I believe the lack of action surrounding our Canadian motor vehicle laws needs to be brought to the forefront. And it cannot wait.

I will say, as I have to my friends and those patient strangers who have listened... I have been working on patience for much of my life. However, when Spencer was killed, I stated to myself that I was going to be "the most patient person... ever". For some reason I KNEW we were in for a ride.

Our loved one had just been stolen from use, suddenly. We as a family should be able to grieve and be met with empathy and understanding by:

-local Victim Services,

-local RCMP,

-local Justice associates (lawyers and services).

However, that was not the case and will be highlighted throughout the upcoming docuseries titled, "Under the Influence- A Tribute to Spencer Alexander Moore & Canadians Stolen by 1 Ton Killing Machines". It's a working title, it might change, I have not trademarked it, please don't steal it.

Thank you for being here, for reading all this and checking back when the updates are ready.

I do believe in lovely things and the kindness of life.

Life provides lessons and though some of nearly killed me, I ultimately created Meeyamor out of desperation. But it's made from LOVE.

As the song "Ashes" goes, "Let beauty come out of ashes".

Because to me, that is the only option.
